Football is a very basic game that is played by two teams, they both have 10 outfield players and one goalkeeper, who is allowed to handle the ball. The object of the game is to get the ball in the back of the net, the team who scores more goals than the other team wins. Football is simple and so is betting on football, and it is really easy to get started and placing your bet on the football.
The simplest way to place a bet on the football is to pick who you think will win. However if you pick a team that is the heavy favorites you will not make that much money on your bet. However if you back the underdog, and the bigger the gulf in class of the teams, than you could be in line to make some nice money on your football bet. But as they are not as good as the other team they are less likely to win.
So when placing a bet on the football - unless you have some crazy hunch - generally place a bet on the team who are the favorites to win. But do a bit of homework and study the forms of the two teams in the match. Find out which team is playing better and has the better form going into the match. Also find out if any of the teams have any injuries, look out for if any of their start players are out, as this will have a big impact on the match. Also study the previous meetings between the two teams, if one has an edge over the other one bet on that team.
You can also bet on the half time score, how many goals will be scored in match, the first booking and who will score the first goal. Or to get some fantastic odds on your football bet and as such could be on for a big win, you can bet on a combination of factors. When picking a first scorer, try and choose one of the attacking players, such as a striker or a winger, as they are the players who will be in the most attacking positions during the game.
